It’s always gratifying to see an idea make its way into print, and I’m delighted to share that Training Magazine has just published my article, “Hybrid Work, Proximity Bias, and the New Competition for Talent.”
In the article, I explore how proximity bias can unintentionally disadvantage remote workers and why organizations should consider a more thoughtful approach to hybrid work. I also revisit Remote Worker Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (RW-DEI), a concept I introduced in Grow Your Business UP! (pp. 109–110), as part of cultivating a rich environment where people love to work.
I’ve long believed that organizations that get this right have an opportunity to differentiate themselves in an increasingly competitive market for exceptional talent. It’s not simply about accommodating remote workers; it’s about designing an organization that attracts and empowers the best people.
